Planted Seeds
It’s been over two years now that I’ve given my life to Jesus. Now looking back I can see how He moved throughout my life THROUGH others. It’s so amazing that He can use us to speak to others in need of Truth. He chose us to spread His word, to share our testimonies, and to help each other flourish in Christ!
Isn't it such a beautiful thing to know that God chose us? We were chosen to plant seeds into others, as God made them flourish. What I mean by that is, we are all called to love one another and guide each other closer to Christ. Especially those who have yet to know Him!
“It’s not important who does the planting, or who
does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.”
(1 Corinthians 3:7)
Now that I’m in Christ, it’s intriguing to look back at my old life and see all those who have planted seeds into my heart. Those who watered me with love and comfort throughout my life, not only that… but they were followers of Christ. They shared how Jesus worked in their lives and why they are the way they are; kind, loving, forgiving, and a gentle soul. Which sparked a growth of curiosity that led me to blossom and finally see the Son’ Light.
They didn’t throw a Bible in my face and expected that I would turn my life over to Jesus. They reflected off Jesus and loved me even though they didn’t know me. That right there led me to eventually turn my life over to Christ and now I’m open arms for God to use. I want to plant as many seeds as I can and be a reflection of Jesus. So those who have yet to know Him, can feel HIS LOVE through me.
The story, “Parable of the Lost Sheep.” This story reminds me of what God does for us and what we need to do for others.
“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’”
(Luke 15:4-6)
Jesus is our Shepherd and we are the sheep. If one of us falls far from the flock of sheep, Jesus our Shepherd will seek out for that one and guide it back home. We need to be a reflection of Jesus, of the Shepherd. If someone doesn’t know of God yet, we need to seek them and gently guide them to the Truth.
“In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!”
(Luke 15:7)
We need to be THE CHURCH, we need to PLANT SEEDS, we need to be like a SHEPHERD, we need to be a REFLECTION OF JESUS!
